n(Facility Name) is looking to add a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to its rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that help residents improve function, maintain independence, and achieve their highest level of performance. nRESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnImplement occupational therapy treatment programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
n
nnAssist with resident assessments and contribute to treatment planning within the COTA scope of practice
n
nnProvide therapeutic interventions focused on improving functional abilities, ADLs, mobility, strength, and independence
n
nnMonitor resident progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist
n
nnComplete documentation, care plans, billing, and clinical records accurately and timely
n
nnEducate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs
n
nnTrain and support rehabilitation aides as assigned
n
nnParticipate in interdisciplinary meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives
n
nnEnsure residents receive prescribed therapy services and treatment minutes
n
nnPerform additional duties as assigned
n
n nREQUIREMENTS:
nnnAssociate of Applied Science Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
n
nnValid New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License required
n
nnNewly licensed COTAs welcome to apply
n
nnSkilled nursing facility experience preferred
n
nnStrong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
n
nnAbility to work collaboratively with residents, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
n
