This role will manage a significant portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters across the United States and Canada, with a primary focus on premises liability, personal injury, and general liability claims. The successful candidate will provide practical, business-focused legal counsel, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and help drive effective risk management strategies that support company objectives.**Key Responsibilities*** Manage and oversee a high-volume portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions.* Develop and execute litigation strategies in alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.* Direct and manage outside counsel, including case strategy, performance, budgets, and overall legal spend.* Provide legal guidance to business leaders on claims, investigations, dispute resolution, and risk management issues.* Oversee litigation support resources and manage all aspects of e-discovery, including preservation, collection, review, and production of documents.* Analyze litigation trends and claims data to identify emerging risks and recommend proactive solutions* Develop and enhance litigation processes, reporting, and governance practices to improve efficiency and consistency.* Support compliance, policy development, training, and enterprise-wide risk reduction initiatives.**Preferred Qualifications*** Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law.* 5+ years of litigation experience, including management of complex or high-volume case portfolios.* Strong background in premises liability, personal injury, general liability, or related litigation matters.* Demonstrated success managing outside counsel and driving favorable business and legal outcomes.* Knowledge of litigation strategy, claims management, e-discovery, and risk mitigation practices.* Excellent legal judgment, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.* Experience supporting large retail, restaurant, hospitality, franchise, or consumer-facing organizations.* Familiarity with litigation analytics, reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives.* A collaborative, business-oriented approach with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment#LI-KA1
