Residential Support Specialist
Location: Greater Boston Area (On-Site)
Job Summary
Seeking a Residential Support Specialist to support adults experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders within a residential setting. This individual will help maintain a safe environment, provide direct support to residents, and respond to crisis situations while working as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities Monitor and maintain a safe and supportive residential environment.
Respond to resident concerns, behavioral incidents, and crisis situations.
Provide support using person-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
Complete documentation and communicate important updates to staff.
Connect residents with available community resources and services.
Attend required meetings and trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with individuals facing behavioral health, substance use, housing instability, or related challenges.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage crisis situations and de-escalate conflict.
Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications LADC, CADC, or similar certification.
Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, or trauma-informed care.
