Job description
Credentialing SpecialistThe Credentialing Specialist is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and verifying all aspects of the credentialing process for healthcare practitioners for the AlbanyMed CVO. This includes maintaining the integrity of the provider database for accurate information and a reporting of credentialed providers. In addition, this position shall provide input for process design to create workflow efficiencies as well as supporting other implementation activities. This position will work with various other departments to ensure accuracy of information received as well as send data to other receiving areas. Works in a team-based department to complete all compliance & time sensitive requirements necessary to maintain the organization's accreditation.Education Requirements:High School or GED, Associate degree preferredMinimum 3-5 years administrative office experience required3-5 years related hospital and/or managed care credentialing experience preferredQualifications:Knowledge of Medical Staff & Provider credentialing and its direct impactExcellent computer skills; credentialing software system experience preferredDetail oriented with above average organizational skillsPlans and prioritizes to meet deadlinesExcellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectivelyAble to work independently and work as part of team to accomplish tasksThank you for your interest in Albany Med Health System!Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer.This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Med Health System, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
