Job description
We're seeking a Credit and Collections Supervisor for an established manufacturing company located in Torrance, CA. This is a full-time position, offering a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and develop a team of Credit & Collections Analysts.
Review customer credit risk and provide recommendations on credit approvals and limits.
Oversee collections activities and support resolution of past-due accounts.
Manage customer deductions and claims, including promotional allowances, pricing disputes, returns, and contractual deductions.
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and complex reconciliations.
Partner with cross-functional teams to address customer issues and facilitate order releases.
Build strong customer relationships and serve as an escalation point for account concerns.
Support audits, reporting, and financial analyses.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the use of AI and automation tools to increase efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of Credit & Collections experience.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Experience managing customer claims and deductions across multiple claim types.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, reporting, and analysis).
Working knowledge of AI and automation tools.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or similar industry experience is required.
