Field ManagerPosition at Ruppert Landscape Maintenance Ruppert is a commercial landscape maintenance and construction company combined as a privately and employee-owned specialty contractor. A multi-state presence with a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community. Responsibilities include training and mentoring crewmembers for on-the-job training, planning, scheduling and supervising daily production activities on assigned contracts, familiar with budgeted hours for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs effectively, fostering relationships with onsite customers, driving quality and efficiency, proactive approach to identifying issues in the field with communication to customer, promote extra work through time and material work orders, and maintain assigned vehicle and equipment following company's guidelines and policies.Qualifications include ability to manage internal team members with proper training on equipment, experience working with customers and building relationships, minimum one year experience performing commercial contract maintenance, ability to identify and diagnose, and treat plant palate diseases, working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance, and valid driver's license with a clean record over the last three years.What we provide includes competitive hourly wage, on the job training, medical benefits with dental and vision, flexible spending account, 401(k) plan, flexible work/life balance, and family-oriented company culture.Ruppert Landscape is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.Descripción del puesto: The field manager is responsible for managing the labor and material on the field to complete the assigned contract maintenance and snow removal projects. Additionally, field managers must train people under their supervision. Success in this position is indicated by contract renewals, jobs completed within budgeted hours, and a low turnover rate of assistants and helpers. This position must cooperate with other field managers of maintenance and field managers of improvement to ensure that the overall objectives of the branch are met.Responsabilidades: Develop a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, the short and long-term goals of the branch, and the financial position of the branch. Know your people in an effort to help them grow within the company. Set goals with them and monitor their progress through formal and informal evaluations. Be actively involved in our certification training process by attending or conducting regular certification training sessions. Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts. Develop a clear understanding of the hourly budgets and costs for each of your jobs. Monitor work hours, reports, and job costs regularly and take necessary measures. Communicate the hours budget to assistants and helpers. Develop a good relationship with the customer on each job. Monitor the quality of work by inspecting the work at the end of each day, completing property service reports, and being proactive in communicating problems to the customer. Sell an acceptable level of extras by using the T&M tickets. Maintain the assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.Calificaciones: Demonstrated capacity and ability to manage others at different levels. Demonstrated capacity and ability to work with customers. At least one year of experience performing commercial contract maintenance work. A two or four-year degree in horticulture or related and two years of experience in the industry. Experience or certifications in the industry can substitute the degree requirement. Ability to identify and diagnose problems of diseases and insects and schedule adequate treatment. Practical knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in maintenance and snow removal contracts.
