Job description
Virginia Tech's Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2027. The ideal candidate will have a research program in criminology, with interests in drugs, violence, or technology in crime or surveillance, and will teach undergraduate and graduate criminology courses.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in sociology or criminology by the time of appointment, with evidence of teaching and research excellence; willingness to mentor students
