UNC Health Wayne is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Inpatient Critical Care department in Goldsboro, NC. This position provides an excellent opportunity to practice at the top of your license, to help design and establish your workflow, and welcomes enthusiastic and hard-working new grads willing to learn from ICU attendings with decades of experience.
At UNC Wayne you will work with a great team of ICU providers, both MDs and APPs. You will be led by two knowledgeable and caring Critical Care and Pulmonology attending physicians with decades of experience in their fields. You will also work very closely with the hospitalist team at Wayne UNC. Our documentation templates and AI documentation assistance tools are designed to help transitions of care and decrease the time-consuming task of documentation.

We are searching for an APP capable of caring for critical care patients independently (with MD support and backup), and comfortable with procedures such as central line placements, intubations, and chest tube placement. We welcome enthusiastic new grads who are willing to learn from a very experienced ICU team.

Responsibilities:
Manage critical care patients along with your ICU and hospitalist colleagues - you will work with your -teammates to help establish optimal workflows to fit your skill level and patient needs
Respond to acute medical events such as rapid responses and codes
Perform ICU admissions and critical care consults
Work closely with your ICU and Hospitalist Teammates
Schedule:
Per Diem 7am-7pm (2 or more shifts a month)

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited PA Program or NP Program with critical care focus
North Carolina licensed and BLS/ACLS certified

Education Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina.
* Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Demonstrated clinical competency.
* Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
* Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
* Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
