UnityPoint Health - Sioux City delivers a broad range of advanced healthcare services to residents across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Through our two hospitals, UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's and UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's - Downtown, as well as the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, we provide comprehensive, compassionate care close to home. Additionally, UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care - Siouxland supports older adults with coordinated access to healthcare and social services, including rehabilitation, medication management, transportation and more.
Responsibilities
Provide overnight ICU coverage
7on/7off with 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
Full-time position: 152 shifts per year
Primary work location: Downtown Campus, but also provide coverage at North Campus when needed
Average 7-8 patients per 12 hour midnight shift
Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Board Certified
1 year minimum experience as critical care provider
ATLS & ACLS required
Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States
