Job description
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative Critical Care team in Southern Maine, providing comprehensive ICU care within a regional referral center serving a broad patient population.
Position Highlights: Full-time Critical Care opportunity within a multidisciplinary ICU team
Work alongside experienced intensivists, specialists, nurses, and respiratory therapists
Provide comprehensive management of critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage complex medical conditions
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and collaborative care planning
Perform ICU-related procedures consistent with training and credentialing, including central line placement, arterial line insertion, and intubation assistance
Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and hemodynamic monitoring data
Full-time schedule with rotating shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Regional referral center with strong specialty support and advanced clinical resources
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current or eligible Maine NP or PA licensure
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years Critical Care or ICU experience required
Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-based environment caring for high-acuity patients
