Position Details: Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a strong, collaborative team of Critical Care Intensivists. The successful candidate will provide holistic, high quality care to critically ill patients admitted to the critical care unit. With your comprehensive knowledge of acute critical care conditions, diagnostics & treatments, you will be expected to diagnose, treat, and manage acute & chronic diseases, perform procedures, order and interpret diagnostic tests, speak to patients & families about their conditions, and collaborate with a variety of consultants. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician. Requirements: * Licensure : Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible) * Training : Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner * Experience : 1 years as an advanced practice provider in a critical care setting. Neurocritical care experience highly preferred. This is a salaried position. While compensation is presented as an hourly rate for consistency across our postings, this position is paid on a salary basis. The hiring range reflects a good faith estimate of pay for this position as of the posting date. Actual pay will be determined based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other factors that may include hire bonuses, incentive pay plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation.
