An established hospital-based team in Dothan, Alabama is seeking a Critical Care Physician Assistant to provide overnight inpatient care for acutely and chronically ill adult patients.
Practice Highlights:
Full-time position
Primarily inpatient role providing overnight hospital-based care
Manage acute and complex chronically ill adult patients
Facilitate care from admission through discharge
Evaluate patients and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Apply advanced medical and nursing knowledge to complex clinical situations
Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
Communicate effectively during urgent and emergency situations
Complete timely, accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Participate in ongoing professional development and competency validation
Qualifications: Current Alabama Physician Assistant licensure
Strong clinical and technical competence
Sound clinical judgment and professional communication skills
Ability to manage complex adult patients in an inpatient setting
Effective communication skills in emergency situations
Computer literacy and basic typing proficiency
Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety and continued professional development
