Work Shift :Job Description :Job Purpose
The ECMO specialist participates in the development of a treatment plan, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and education. Communicates with the ECMO physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete treatment specific to the ECMO patient care plan.
Job Requirements:Education:Bachelor's degreeCompletion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.Licenses and/or Certifications:Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of NursingOr RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC - National Board of Respiratory Care
Or CCP - Certified Perfusion LicenseAndBasic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart AssociationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart AssociationWork Experience:Minimum of 2 years of critical care experienceMethodist Dallas Medical Center
