Job description
We are seeking a Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage in a Level I trauma hospital setting. This opportunity offers day shift coverage in a high-acuity trauma environment with a collaborative surgical team.
Assignment Details:
Start: July 2026
Ongoing trauma surgery coverage
Day shifts only
Schedule:
11-hour shifts
7:00 AM 6:00 PM
No call
No block scheduling
Practice Setting:
Acute care hospital
Adult trauma-focused service
Epic EMR
Work Details:
Trauma surgery coverage
Participation in trauma transfers from outside facilities
Adult trauma cases with occasional pediatric patients
Burns transferred out to specialty centers
Patient Volume:
Approximately patients/day
Requirements:
Physician Assistant required
Trauma Surgery experience required
South Carolina license preferred
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS required
Clean background required
Credentialing:
60 days with active SC license
days without license
All orientation hours billable
Additional Notes:
Name + NPI required for name clear
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
