Life in Olympia

Olympia, the capitol of Washington state, boasts one of the PNW's best places to live. There is a mix of urban and suburban vibes, and the Capitol building provides an amazing backdrop to a wonderfully appointed city. Enjoy coffee from one of myriad downtown coffee shops while watching the sunrise over the Puget Sound. Browse a museum or catch a local play. Sample some (or all) of the small breweries and distilleries in the area. There is a new state-of-the-art craft district that brings together food, drink, shopping, and concerts under the shadow of the original Olympia brewery (thecraftdistrict.com). Bike or hike one of the many miles of trails in the Capitol Forest, along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, or along one of the well-developed rails-to-trails paths. Mt. Rainier's magic is just moments away ready to share amazing scenic beauty and adventures. The Olympic Peninsula provides a lifetime of exploration for even the most ardent adventurer. Olympia is a great place for professionals and families. It offers wonderful housing opportunities right downtown, in suburban neighborhoods, or on acreage. There is a diverse industry and government presence making career opportunities prolific. A visit to Seattle is a moment away. However, one may find everything they could dream of without leaving this wonderful "big" little community.
