JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Specialty: CRNA - General Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Las Cruces, NM 88011 Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:10 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Scheduling Need Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Vendor PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 4 patients/day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff: RNs: 20, PA/NPs: 12, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: General Anesthesia Adult Pediatric Spinal Anesthesia Epidural Anesthesia Neurosurgical cases Spine Complex orthopedic cases Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues Preferred: Regional Anesthesia Surgery Obstetrical Cases Head Thoracic cases (except open heart) Complex vascular cases (except open heart) Pain management techniques Post-op epidural Post-op extremity blocks Central Line placement Arterial Line placement JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: Active NM license required DEA: Yes, active DEA required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience Other Qualifications: Comfortable practicing independently, experience with regional blocks with case logs Duties & Responsibilities Administer general and regional anesthesia for various surgical cases. Manage patient airways and ventilation during procedures. Provide anesthesia for obstetrical, pediatric, and adult patients. Perform and document regional blocks including spinal and epidural anesthesia. Participate in on-call coverage and weekend shifts as needed.
