Job description

Crossing GuardPart-time - 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 2:10-4:10 p.m., M-F 10 month, school daysSupervises and assists students in crossing streets. Uses and maintains provided safety equipment. Establishes and maintains good relations with students. Attends required training classes and workshops.High school diploma or GED. Standing and walking up to 3 hours at a time. Exposure to elements, road dust, occasional fuel and exhaust fumes. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.Coordinator of TransportationCrossing Guards: $20.15 - 21.82 Hourly - According to contractual agreement (based on contract)District 196 is a Minnesota public school district of choice, serving more than 29,000 students and 160,000 residents in the cities of Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan, Burnsville, Coates, Empire, Inver Grove Heights and Lakeville, and Vermillion Township.
