Cryogenic Service TechnicianAmerican Welding & Gas, Inc. has an IMMEDIATE opening for an experienced Cryogenic Service Technician in Winchester, KY.This position will provide service for our bulk gas systems at customer and AWG sites. The systems include cryogenic pressure vessels, vaporizers, pressure regulation equipment, pumps, and compressors, etc. This position will provide necessary technical and hands-on support for installation of new bulk systems and maintenance of existing systems.Incentives:Collaborative team environmentCompetitive pay structureSafety and Performance Bonus PotentialCompany provided PPEMedical, Dental, & Vision Benefits with no waiting periodCompany Provided Life InsuranceCompany Provided Short-Term & Long-Term Disability401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company matchPaid Holidays and Paid Time OffDuties and Responsibilities:Install propane and cryogenic storage vessels and equipment at customer and AWG locationsService cryogenic storage vessels and equipment at customer and AWG locationsDemonstrate knowledge of NFPA 55 and other applicable CGA standardsDemonstrate quality brazing techniques. Certifications preferredDemonstrate and practice safe handling of hand tools and hand power tools typically and commonly used in installation and maintenance tasksDemonstrate the ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layout, piping drawings, and electrical controls schematicsUnderstand the properties, hazards, etc. of cryogenic, propane and atmospheric gasesEnsure knowledge of applicable pressure vessel codes are followedExhibit basic project management skillsPractice and demonstrate working knowledge of safe rigging and lifting proceduresFamiliar with Microsoft Office ProgramsFamiliar with propane, cryogenic and gas delivery systemsFamiliar with fill plant equipment and pipingOther duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPrefer 3+ years' experience in cryogenic service-related workDemonstrated ability to work independentlyGood Communication skills a must (both verbal and written)Good organizational skillsFamiliar with piping systems, valves, tanks and equipmentProject Management skills are a plusClean driving recordCurrent Class A CDL a huge plus!Prior management experience a plusValid license and clean driving recordStrong judgement and management skills, as well as relationship building, responsibility, and team buildingBusiness acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, customer oriented and solid decision-making skillsAdditional Notes:This position requires after hours availability and must be able to respond to customer service situations on a 24/7 basisOvernight travel will be requiredWeekend work is on an as-needed basis to maintain customer supplyAbout Us:American Welding & Gas is one of the largest independent packaged gas companies in the U.S., with 77 branch locations, 16 gas fill plants in 17 states, stretching from Montana through Florida.
