Job description
This is not a big-bank compliance job. We move fast, we make decisions, and we expect you to own your function completely.
What You Will Do
Serve as Finenze's designated BSA/AML Compliance Officer
Manage merchant KYB onboarding end-to-end — document collection, review, HIFI coordination, and approval
Monitor daily compliance alerts and transaction flags through our platform dashboard
Handle escalations, case documentation, and SAR preparation when required
Coordinate with HIFI's compliance team on RFIs, alerts, and ongoing monitoring
Keep detailed records of all compliance decisions, cases, and activities
Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reports for leadership
Help identify and evaluate new banking partners and white-label providers
Support overall operations and platform build‑out as a founding team member
What We Are Looking For
2–5 years of experience in compliance, operations, or risk at a crypto exchange, payment processor, MSB, or fintech company
Solid understanding of BSA/AML requirements, KYB/KYC processes, and FinCEN obligations
Hands‑on experience with blockchain transactions and digital assets — you know what USDT TRC‑20, USDC, and on/off‑ramp mean without Googling it
Experience with compliance tools such as TRM Labs, Chainalysis, Elliptic, Sumsub, or similar
Someone who is organized, detail‑oriented, and understands that in compliance, documentation is everything
Based in New York — this is a full‑time, in‑person role
Nice to Have
CAMS certification or equivalent
Experience at a white‑label payment company or BaaS provider
Familiarity with HIFI, CoinsPaid, or similar infrastructure platforms
Compensation
$80,000 base salary
