CT Scan Technologist

Location: Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ

Schedule: Full Time, Days and Shifts Fri, Sat, Sun 7a-8p

Job Overview: Responsible for producing cross‑section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Interprets physician's scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates CT scan equipment, and positions patients to capture appropriate images.

Principal Accountabilities

Interprets CT protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.

Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).

Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.

Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the radiologist for interpretation.

Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Accredited educational program related to radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.

Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.

Preferred: CT Certification.
