Job description
Wake Radiology is seeking a floating CT Technologist Assistant to support CT Technologists in providing safe, efficient, and high-quality imaging services while delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with patient check-in, screening, preparation, positioning, and discharge.
Verify patient information, orders, and medical history.
Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns.
Start and remove IVs as needed using proper aseptic technique.
Assist technologists with patient positioning, room setup, cleanup, and stocking.
Prepare the CT room and maintain infection control and safety standards.
Communicate delays or schedule changes with the team.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
Support a positive, professional, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
BLS certification required or must obtain within 60 days of hire.
One year of medical experience (MA, EMT, Phlebotomist, etc.) preferred.
IV experience preferred; Venous Access Training Certification preferred or required within 60 days of hire.
Experience with EPIC, PACS, or other medical imaging systems preferred.
Certified Imaging Assistant, CNA, or MA certification preferred.
Driver's license in good standing.
Willing to float between Raleigh and surrounding area offices.
Hours are 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday.
