Job description
Position Overview: Responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) procedures, including diagnostic, therapeutic, and research imaging, while ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain correct patient identification, ensure proper preparation, and document clinical history.
Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient response, and document activities.
Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures and support patient education and monitoring.
Perform CT scans independently or in collaboration with licensed staff.
Qualifications & Skills
Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting.
Prioritize patient safety, technical proficiency, and adherence to policies.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program.
