Role Overview
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures under physician supervision, utilizing advanced technology for diagnostic and interventional imaging across all ages.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include executing various CT studies, practicing radiation safety, and using sterile techniques when necessary.
The role involves proper patient positioning, venipuncture, equipment operation, and image evaluation for quality.
The technologist manages patient data using hospital systems like HIS, RIS, and PACS, ensures patient confidentiality, and coordinates exams within the department and with other teams.
Additional duties include scheduling, maintaining equipment, cleaning, and administering drugs as per protocols.
The position requires collaborating with medical staff, communicating effectively, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate from a radiologic technology program with current certification or eligibility by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Certification in CT within 24 months of hire and a valid state radiographer license.
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
Strong attention to detail, patient communication skills, and ability to operate advanced imaging equipment.
Ability to coordinate exams and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
