Job description

An elite center ranked by **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES -**The CT Technologist Accountabilities are to ensure optimal quality of ordered images while maintaining patient safety. * Reviews and verifies orders before beginning exams.* Reviews the patient’s EMR for safety concerns that could alter the quality of the exam or affect patient care.* Prepares patient and room for exams, explains procedure, transfers patient using proper lifting and transfer techniques, positions patient and assists patient as needed during the exam.* Performs clinical evaluation of all patients and performs exams specifically as stated in the physician’s order.* Observes patient and equipment during procedures and reports any unusual occurrences in relation to patient condition to the Imaging Supervisor.* Delivers all images to PACS and the Radiologist and ensures receipt of exam dictation.* Completes all daily tasks for optimal departmental operation.* Reports departmental concerns to the Imaging Manager.* Attend department staff meetings during scheduled hours.* Manages inventory of supplies.* Maintains all center-wide requirements such as yearly ARW’s, BLS, up to date certification status with the ACR and other requirements that may be mandatory in the XRAY and CT departments.**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION** * Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.* Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.* Must be a Registered CT Technologist**REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE** **REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS** - Ability to Work Independently- Ability to Prioritize and problem solve**KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES EXAMPLES** - Experience in a hospital setting.- Excellent communication and Organizational Skills.- Strong organizational, customer service, and teamwork skills- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills**PREFERRED****QUALIFICATIONS** - Three (3) plus years' experience preferred* Uses body, tools, or special devices to safely, effectively, and efficiently to move, guide, or place patients. Involves some latitude for judgement with regard to precision attained and the selection of what adaptive device(s) to utilize.* Ability to transfer and position patients, consistent with lifting up to 50 lbs.### Get In Touch
