Job description
Role:
CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and ensuring patient safety at a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities Include
Performing CT procedures according to department protocols, capturing diagnostic images while maintaining ALARA principles.
Operating imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques as needed, and ensuring equipment cleanliness and maintenance.
Obtaining clinical histories, verifying orders, and explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
Providing patient comfort, privacy, and age-appropriate care throughout examinations.
Administering contrast agents, positioning patients, and applying necessary safety measures.
Reviewing images for quality, repeating exams if necessary, and documenting findings accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
Monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and supporting department workflows.Maintaining a clean, organized environment, supporting compliance, and assisting with clerical and transport tasks.
Qualifications Include
High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
At least 1 year of radiology experience.
Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association.
Skills and qualities:
Technical expertise in CT imaging, strong patient communication, attention to safety and infection control, and ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
