Custodial AssociateAs the Custodial Associate, you will perform custodial and other miscellaneous duties in order to maintain the store cleanliness and positively impact the customer's in-store experience.Primary Responsibilities:Cleaning Cleans the sales floor, offices, stockrooms, salon, restrooms and other areas of the store in accordance with the company standards for cleanliness and in a manner that is safe for associates and customers and without damage to the building or finishesInventory/Equipment Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment of operable condition and arranges for repairs when necessaryCommunicates re-ordering needs to General Manager when applicableCustomer Service & Sales Greets and assists customers in finding products and delivers outstanding customer servicePartners with Sales Associates when customers require a deeper level of product informationSupport Performs other support duties as assigned by supervisorFollows company trash, recycling and hazardous materials processesPerformance standards Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including (but not limited to) product and service sales, customer service, productivity, and attendanceCore Competencies & Accomplishments:To achieve success at JCPenney, you will possess the following:Results Solves problems and makes smart decisions that drive sales, profit or customer service, execute your work efficiently and effectivelyOwnership Provide great customer service and take accountability for your actions and outcomesIntensity Proactively find ways to improve the customer experience, show the confidence and courage to do what's right; take action with energy and urgencyWhat you get:If eligible, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, term life insurance, paid vacation/holidays*, and 401(k) with Company match.
