Rising Star JanitorRising Star Resource Development Corporation (Rising Star) is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation and Social Enterprise. We are governed and credentialed at a State level through WorkQuest Texas and at a Federal level through the AbilityOne Commission.Job SummaryPerforms basic environmental cleaning services for a multi-complex facility with remote facilities. Work involves coordinating the cleaning and sanitation of training, kitchen, common areas, medical clinic, secure weapon areas and housekeepting services for 24 dorm rooms and 44 person dorm rooms. Conduct training and certification activities of others. Works under limited remote supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Background clearance required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates and performs general custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, light fixtures, carpet and tile floorsRestroom maintenance, replenishing supplies and applying cleaning chemicals as appropriatePerforms minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipmentCleans, dust, and inspects areas such as restrooms, offices, and other facilities as neededOperates floor maintenance equipment, including buffers, upright and backpack vacuumsInspects buildings for cleanliness, completed work, and needed repairsMaintains inventory records of building property, custodial equipment, materials, supplies, and equipmentPerforms related tasks as assignedEducation/Experience:Graduation from a standard High School or equivalent is generally preferred. At least one year experience in custodial work.Communication Skills:Bilingual (English) and Spanish a plus but not necessary.Certifications:Obtain industry certifications listed in 90 days.Pay:$17.75 per hour – Hourly Rate$4.93 per hour - Health and Wellness Hourly Pay$22.68 per hour - Total Per Hour PayAs Needed.
