CustodianSUDLOW MIDDLE SCHOOL 7:45 pm - 11:45 pm (must be able to work day shifts during winter, spring and summer breaks) INTERNAL BIDS THRU 10/7/26 @ 4:00 PM. EXTERNAL APPLICANTS (WE WILL HIRE EXTERNALLY IF NO SUCCESSFUL INTERNAL BIDDER): Open until filled. New Hire: Entry Level Rate $18.17/hr. Current employees with seniority in the bargaining unit, please refer to the Salary Schedule established by the bargaining unit.Duties & Responsibilities:Utility/stairsVacuum ALL stairsPick up litterSanitize hand railsClean glassWet mop as neededDust mop hallwaysAssist with deep cleaning during break periods- stripping, scrub & recoat, cleaning restrooms, glass, and furniture.Removes snow.Minor grounds keepingLawn mowingAssist with delivery of suppliesProperly maintain equipmentReport maintenance issues to Head & Lead CustodianPerforms other duties as assignedClean elevatorMust work days during summer.Physical Requirements of Position:Ability to lift & carry up to 56 lb.Ability to climb up to an 8-ft ladder and perform custodial task ie; cleaning light fixture.Ability to climb steps and work on uneven groundAbility to understand and follow oral instructions.In addition to these specific qualifications this person must meet all the general qualifications as listed in the custodian job description of the Davenport Community School District.Special Qualification Desired:Must have a High School degree or GEDThe Davenport Community School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
