CustodianTX-Big Spring Corps - Big Spring, TX 79720Salary Range $12.50 - $15.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time with Benefits 20 or More Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage Up to 25% Category PropertyAbout This OpportunityCooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules; ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner; cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances; maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.Key Responsibilities:Facilities Cleaning Responsibilities (50%)Food Cooking and Serving Responsibilities (25%)Kitchen Cleaning Responsibilities (25%)Physical Requirements:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.Ability to cook, taste and smell food.Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies.Duties are performed standing and requires squatting, climbing, bending and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).Working Conditions:Work is sometimes performed in a kitchen environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in temperature associated with cooking and the kitchen environment. Work is sometimes performed in both indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.What We Are Looking For In YouEducation and Experience:No formal education required,ANDSix months experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties;ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
