Job description
Custodian PositionMitchell Technical College is seeking a custodian. This is a part-time position with a start date based on the availability of the successful candidate.Preferred skills and qualifications:Attention to detail – ensures thorough cleaning and maintenance.Time management – able to complete tasks efficiently during evening hours.Basic maintenance skills – minor repairs, changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals – safe and effective use of vacuums, scrubbers, disinfectants, etc.Physical stamina – capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Communication skills – able to report issues and follow instructions clearly.Reliability and punctuality – consistent attendance and dependability.Successful candidate must also pass a state and federal criminal background check.Position would typically be 25-30 hours per week, with occasional up to 40 hours based on need. Regular hours for this position are daytime business hours.
