Job description
Custodian – Class IThe pay range, depending on previous experience, is $14.64 - $18.21 per hour. Candidates must be able to pass BCI and FBI background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and physical exam.Job Responsibility: To perform custodial work required for the routine cleaning and upkeep of buildings in adherence with local, state and federal rules and regulations.CRITICAL AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintain respect for confidential information at all times.Perform computer processing duties as required.Mop, sweep stairways and halls.Clean and service lavatories, toilet rooms, and restrooms, including sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment, and replenishing supplies of soap and paper products.Clean and dust furnishings, fixtures, door trims, and related items.Collect waste paper, rubbish, etc., and place in the area assigned by the supervisor, to be disposed of by the custodian.Clean and wax furniture.Wash all interior glass, including partitions, framed pictures, mirrors, and doors.Report items that require repair.Report burned out lights in classrooms and corridors.Check to be certain doors are locked or unlocked at the appropriate time.Such additional reasonable duties and responsibilities as collaboratively determined between the administrator and individual staff member.
