CustodianMeadowlands Area YMCA - East Rutherford, NJ 07073OverviewPosition Type Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level None Category Service WorkerDescriptionResponsibilities will focus on the upkeep and cleanliness of the entire building, including general areas, classrooms, fitness center, locker-rooms and bathrooms.Performing any combination of the following duties: window cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and overall janitorial duties.Keep immediate supervisor informed of any concerns or problems regarding the facilities.Room set-up and breakdown for events and programsMaintain an organized work space, by taking responsibility for the upkeep of supplies, materials.Work cooperatively with professional staff and other departments.Actively participate in all training sessions, designated meetings and special events.All other miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications18+ years of ageOutgoing, energetic, and engaging, self starterWilling to work part time opening, evenings and weekendsPhysical Demands: bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, setup and break down of tables and chairs.Low Pressure Boiler Certificate a plus.
