Night Custodian PositionThis position is for a Night Custodian at Estrella Foothills High School.Full Time Position (40 hours); 9-months with benefits; Hours are 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.Wage per the Classified Salary Guidelines, the experience will be considered.The position reports directly to the EFHS plant foreman.Full-time positions (30+ hours/week) are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following their 60th day of employment: The District Benefits are very competitive and include health, dental, vision, and a life insurance policy. Supplemental policies through Aflac and LegalShield are also offered at an additional cost to the employee.Position Job Title:CustodianPosition Classification:ClassifiedPosition Supervision:Plant ForemanGeneral Statement of Position's Purpose:To play an integral part in ensuring a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient environment for students to learn and develop.Education and/or Training:Less than a high school diplomaMSDS and blood born pathogens trainingMinimum Qualifications:Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)Experience:Less than one year experience in custodial work is preferredAbility to communicate and work well with staff, parents and children.Demonstrate Knowledge / Proficiency of Equipment, Tools, Materials and Skills:VacuumCleaning ChemicalsGeneral hand toolsPrincipal Duties:May be required to alter working hours to perform regular assigned dutiesDeliver equipment and suppliesCleans restrooms as neededSetting-up and taking-down of all school-related activities and events.Moves furniture and equipment as neededRaises the United States Flag before school and retires the flag after school hours.Reports safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs.Keeps grounds free rubbish.Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and empty trash as needed.Cleans corridors, when warranted, during the day.Assists the maintenance technician.Assists with securing the buildingsPerforms other related duties as assigned.Communicate with Supervisor when problems occur.Perform other related duties as assigned.Performance Expectations:Level of Accountability and Authority:Must use own initiative and judgment in performing job.Performs as directed; responsible for own job under direct supervision.Interaction with Others:Completes work with minimum contact with othersTime Management:Routine work with little planning neededWorking Conditions:Periodic exposure to hazardous materials such as blood born pathogens, high voltage, gas and heights.Physical Requirements (approximate percentage of times):Physical demands: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
