The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Clean and sanitize washrooms including sinks, commodes, and urinalsMaintain soap and towel dispensersHand dryersAbility to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving of the whole body, such as:Washroom stallsClean and sanitize locker roomsClean classroomsSweep floors; mop as neededUse hands to finger, handle, or feelEmpty garbage and dispose of properlyReach with hands and armsWipe down student desksClimb or balanceWipe down whiteboardsTalk and hearEmpty pencil sharpenersOccasional sittingMop and buff corridorsPerform heavy physical labor frequentlyVacuum carpets moving and/or lifting 50 lbs.Remove gum and scuff marksSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perceptionClean windows and glass in doorsDaily upkeep of groundsGrooming, sweeping, and upkeep of artificial turf fieldsPaintingMoving mechanical partsVehicle upkeepOperate snow removal equipment including shovels, snow blowers, plowsOutside weather conditionsWet and/or humid conditionsFumes or airborne particlesToxic or caustic chemicalsHelp set up rooms for special programsHelp prepare athletic areas inside and outside for useHelp clean up and prepare fields and gyms for normal use after eventsAttend safety meetings and training sessions as requiredPossess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to complete the following trainings as required:GCN TrainingsLock out tag outFall arrestSDSAsbestos and lead identificationLadder safetyFamiliar with equipment involved with custodial dutiesEmergency evacuationIn-house OSHA and respirator trainingOperate floor scrubberWet-dry pickupProper use of dust mops, microfiber cleaning equipmentMop floorsKnowledge of industry standardsBREAKS: Per collective bargaining agreement.
