Job description
CustodianPay rate: $19.48/hr - $20.65/hr. Applicants must be able to perform the duties required below. This 40-hour work week is a full-time position and is part of the Teamster bargaining group. No experience necessary, we will train. Must have a valid NJ Driver's License.Job duties expected: Cleans floors of classrooms, offices, special rooms, corridors, stairs, entrances, lobbies and cafeteria, as assigned. Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, vacuums, floors. Cleans and disinfects the drinking fountains, bathroom floors, bowls, seats, and urinals in restrooms on a daily basis as assigned. Fills paper and soap dispensers in assigned areas, as needed. Removes trash as assigned. Ability to lift 75 pounds at least 20% of the time; bend, lift, squat, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, shovel snow, stand for long periods of time. Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Custodial Foreman or Custodial Night Supervisor. Must have or get black seal license within one year.Jackson School District, Jackson, New JerseyQualifications: High School Diplomas or GED. Be clean and neat in appearance. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to operate all required power tools and or equipment. Basic computer knowledge. Have reasonable mechanical ability. Possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License. Must have a Black Seal Operator's License. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status.Reports to: Directly responsible to any Facilities Supervisor.
