CustodianHampden-Sydney College - Hampden Sydney, VA 23943Salary Range $15.00 - $15.00 HourlyOverviewHampden-Sydney College has an immediate opening for a Custodian. Working within the Building Services group, this position reports daily to a Building Services Team Leader and managed by the Building Services Supervisor. Perform cleaning, stocking, and servicing duties within assigned areas to Facilities Management standards. May be asked to participate in the on-call rotation. Hiring range: $15.00 per hour.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDValid Virginia driver's licenseNo previous experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:1 – 3 years of experienceIndustry certification from the ISSA, IICRC, or similar instituteKnowledge of occupational hazards safety rulesKnowledge of standard cleaning methods and proceduresExperience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutionsBackground in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicalsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand, walk, and bend for many hours and perform repetitive motion for long periods required.
