We want our students to demonstrate the fruits of the Spirits wherever called by God to serve.We are looking for a reliable School Custodian to join our team. The School Custodian role is integral to the smooth and successful cleaning operations of the entire campus to include maintaining a clean and safe campus environment for our students and staff. They are heavily involved in supporting the safe, smooth and successful day-to-day operations of the school.The successful candidate is expected to be committed to and exemplify the values of the organization. These values are fundamental to creating and maintaining a positive environment for all individuals they engage with in the community and/or the school.The Custodian maintains a calm and professional demeanor at all times in a fast-paced and diverse school community. Ability to handle unpleasant situations is essential to this position. He or she is a team player who is able to adapt to change quickly and understands the importance of faithfulness in all things with an eye for attention to detail.Responsibilities:Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and wallsDisinfect commonly used items like lunchroom tables, desks, door handles, office tools and phonesEmpty trash and recycling binsVacuum, sweep and mop floorsClean and maintain restroomsWashing and clean windows and mirrorsNotify supervisors of unsafe conditionsDust furniture and fixturesQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredWillingness to submit to random drug screeningGood communication skillsKnowledge of or willing to learn about various cleaning products and when to use themAbility to clean and disinfect various surfacesAbility to lift and move at least 50 poundsGood organization skillsKnowledge of or willingness to learn safety guidelines when working with chemical cleanersExcellent time-management skillsFaith Bible Christian Schools is a faith-based institution of education which requires faculty and staff to be in agreement with our doctrinal statement and to adhere to our community lifestyle standards.With this, as an independent educational institution which exists to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active pursuit of spiritual growth are required for all employees and students.
