Custodian - Houseworker, Evening and Weekend ShiftMarlborough High SchoolEvening/Weekend ShiftSchool Year Hours: Monday-Wednesday 2:30 PM – 11:00pm & WEEKEND 6:30 AM – 3:00 PMSummer Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM (Occasional weekend hours in the summer)Training Period: Monday-Friday 2:30pm – 11:00pm for 1-2 Months of Training, then transition to hours above.Work Year: Effective Date of Employment: As soon as possible - this is a year-round positionSalary: According to the Custodial Salary ScaleFY27 Starting Salary: $50,158.00, plus nightly differential, and an increase after 6 consecutive months of serviceJob Responsibilities: The Building Custodian is generally responsible for the achievement of the purposes of custodian services in the building, i.e., preserve property values, protect health and safety of occupants; support the educational objectives of the building and provide a climate of learning, develop goodwill and maintain cleanliness and neatness• Grounds upkeep, snow removal • Perform all other general duties as indicated by the Principal, directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, the Custodial Supervisor or his/her designee, and policies of the Marlborough School CommitteeQualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required• Physical and mental capabilities to perform above work• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.Ability to understand spoken and written English.Closing Date for Receipt of Application: Open Until FilledAddress all Applications and Letter of Intent to: Andrew White Custodial SupervisorAn Equal Opportunity EmployerIt is the policy of the Marlborough Public Schools not to discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, national origin, color, homelessness, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or disability in its education programs, services, activities, or employment practices.
