This experience includes but not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, general dusting and vacuuming within an office/school environment. *This experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application. "See Resume" will not be accepted. In addition, part-time work will be prorated.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous custodial experience as a state employee;Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and appliances ;ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS AT COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES:Job knowledge: Knowledge of custodial practices and proceduresCommunication and interpersonal skills: Strong communication skills to interact with team members, students, and staffInitiative and accountability: Take initiative and works productively with the team to achieve common, collaborative goalsOrganization and prioritization: Ability to organize and prioritize workAttention to detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasksTime management: Time management skills to ensure completion of assigned duties within specified time framesProblem solving: Ability to resolve problems in a timely mannerCustomer service: Provides exemplary service to meet the needs of the students, staff, and customers of MinesCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Background checkPre-employment physicalPre-employment drug screenAppeal Rights:An applicant who has been removed from an employment list or removed from consideration during the selection process may request a review by the State Personnel Director.As an applicant directly affected by the results of the selection or comparative analysis process, you may file a written appeal with the State Personnel Director.Review of the completed, signed and submitted appeal will be timely on the basis of written material submitted by you, using the official appeal form signed by you or your representative.
