Job description
Custodian PositionSpace Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is looking to hire a Custodian to join our Logistics Division. The hours for the position are Monday-Friday from 4:30pm to 12:30am. The successful candidate will, in accordance with established procedures, help clean SDL operated facilities. Due to the nature of some of the areas, there may be restrictions on when cellular or wireless devices are allowed to be carried.Responsibilities:Cleans, vacuums, and empties trash in common areas, hallways, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, break rooms, clean rooms and receptionist areasScrubs and sanitizes restroom facilitiesRestocks restrooms and break areas with suppliesScrubs, burnishes, buffs, and waxes floors as neededCleans carpets as neededCovers other areas as needed for team membersMinimum Requirements:Must have a high school diploma or GEDThoroughness and attention to detailAbility to communicate effectivelyBasic computer skillsMust be self-motivated, ability to pay close attention to cleaning detailsComfortable working both independently and in a team environmentMust be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. personPreferred RequirementsKnowledge of commercial cleaning processesExperience with hard floor care and carpet cleaningWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to perform general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc.Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis, spend substantial time walking, standing, pulling, reaching, stooping, squatting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and pushing/pulling objects such as desks, tables, chairs, and scrubbing machinesAbility to use carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, or other automated cleaning toolsSalary Range$31,200 - $45,000 Salary commensurate on education and relevant experienceSDL offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
