Facilities Maintenance WorkerReports to: Facilities Director FLSA status: Hourly (non-exempt) Hours per week: 40 hours, Full-time (12:00pm-8:00pm) Campus: VieraWe exist to glorify God by being a loving community where people are saved, set free, discipled, empowered, and sent out to fulfill their God-given calling.Job Summary:This position helps to ensure a safe, clean and sanitary condition while maintaining the day-to-day maintenance operations at the Viera campus from 12:00pm - 8:00pm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Empty trash cans, take out rubbish to trash dumpsterReplenish bathroom supplies, help to maintain cleanliness of restrooms and unclog drainsClean windows, ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls and doorsFinish and strip floors, clean carpets with Host Carpet cleaner and clean floors with auto scrubbersAble to vacuum, sweep, mop and dustAble to work with side-to-side floor machine and floor burnisherDust furniture and clean all counter and cabinet surfaces, sinks, and wall mounted itemsPick up trash from groundsRequired to help in the set-up/teardown of rooms and equipment relating to church and individual ministry eventsAbility to respond to custodial emergency situations as effectively and as promptly as the situation requiresCross Training for back-up coverageSafely use and climb laddersAble to take proper care of and do routine maintenance on equipmentComplete work requests and documenting recordsOperate machinery proficiently after a period of trainingAbility to move various items of equipment and materials to locations inside and outside campus buildingsAble to lift 35 lbs. Any item over 35 lbs. will require two people to liftTravel to other campuses when requiredManage time and schedules while meeting deadlines consistentlyFunction as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetingsOther duties as assigned by SupervisorJob Skills and Competencies:•Must be able and willing to work in dusty, dirty, wet, hot and/or cold environmental conditions•Ability to perform the physical nature of the tasks listed above•Must not have a fear of heights, as this job does require some climbing•Must be able to lift heavy objects correctly•Ability to communicate effectively with others•Must be able to read and understand basic instruction manuals•Must be able to use basic Microsoft Office software•Results oriented, intelligent, well-rounded, adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high quality work under pressureOther Qualifications:• Calvary Chapel must be your home church with regular attendance•Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus through spiritual and moral integrity•Fruit of the Spirit is consistently displayed in your life•Be a reflection of God's love to colleagues and visitors•Mature, ongoing relationship with Christ and regularly attend church service•Servant-heart and optimistic attitude•A dependable team player who understands unity and works well with people•Ability to set boundaries to limit non-work-related communication•Maintain a flexible spirit in order to change task quickly at the supervisor's discretion•Ability to work overtime when requiredCompensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
