Job description
Part Time CustodianSussex County Community College is seeking a part time Custodian. The part time Custodian will report to the Custodial Supervisor and will be responsible for general cleaning activities, special project set ups and summer assignments.AM Position - Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am - 11:00amSpecific Responsibilities:Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.Knowledge of the practices, methods, tools, equipment, and materials of custodial functions. Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment.Perform floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning.Remove trash and other debris for general custodial duties as well as special project (such as moving furniture)Perform set ups and break downs of scheduled events as per work orders.Reports supply orders to Custodial Supervisor.Reports needs for minor repairs to Custodial Supervisor.Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure you are your team members are free from injury.Perform other duties as assigned.Education:High School Graduate or equivalentEssential Skills:Prior custodial experience preferredAbility to lift 40 poundsValid Driver's LicenseAbility to work with diverse populations.Professional and compassionate demeanor.Sussex County Community College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Effective September 1, 2011, the NJ First Act requires that certain classifications of persons employed by a public higher education institution will have 365 days within which to establish a primary residence in NJ.
