Responsibilities involved in cleaning and maintaining a classroom or other room used on a daily basis.1.1. Daily responsibilitiesClose all windowsStraighten deskDust mop the floorVacuum any carpeted area (district property)Dust the chalkboard(s) and chalk tray(s)Empty the trash can(s)Empty all pencil sharpeners1.2. Weekly responsibilitiesGive the room a general dusting (including but not limited to dusting doors, windows, bookshelves, cabinets, and heat registers)Remove all cobwebsWash classroom door glass1.3. Responsibilities on an as needed basisWash student desk topsReplace light bulbs in light fixturesRemove stains from carpeting (district property)Spot mop floorClean sink(s)1.4. Summer ResponsibilitiesWash the inside and outside of all windows except outside windows on second floor of existing buildingsRepair all furniture (minor repairs)Wash all desks in the roomRemove all furniture from the roomClean student lockersClean all light shieldsReplace lights as neededClean all fansClean sinksReplenish hand towelsClean door glassClean switch and receptacle cover platesClean chalk/white/bulletin boards and framesStrip and Wax all floor surfaces (includes stripping floor of old wax, washing, and applying new coats of wax as scheduled by the Facilities Director)Scrub & re-coat floor surfaces (includes scrubbing floor, washing, and applying new coats of wax as scheduled by the Facilities Director)Paint the room(s) as scheduled by the Facilities DirectorClean all flat surfaces (including light fixtures)Clean outside of cabinetsReplace furnitureScrub all carpets (district property)2.
