Job TitleCustodianJob DescriptionMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:VacuumingMopping, dust mopping, sweeping and scrubbing floors.Empty waste containers.Low and high cleaning.Deliver collected refuse to the loading dock.Perform restroom cleaning.Preform restroom checks.Clean water fountains.Clean fitness centers, showers and locker rooms.Clean freight and passenger elevators.Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors at prescribed heights.Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.Shampoo carpets.Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners.Police grounds and empty waste containers.Assist in Special Events setups.Must monitor building for maintenance, safety, and security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.Maintains custodial equipment in a clean, safe, operable condition.Report shortage of supplied and equipment failuers to immediate Supervisor or Management.Preforms other related work as assigned.Basic Job RequirementsA combination of education and directly related experience equal to one (1) year*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to managements, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner *This is the typical years of experience required for this job. This applies to all jobs across all functions.Other Job RequirementsActive TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance RequiredMust have a valid driver's licenseProven experience as custodian, janitor, or in a similar role.Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliancesKnowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous componentsFamiliarity with basic landscaping and handyman practicesAttention to detail and conscientiousnessVery good physical condition and strengthHigh school diploma is preferred but not required.Preferred QualificationsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
