Custodian - Part Time - ElementaryCustodial duties include all phases of commercial cleaningSetup and tear down of various school spaces (cafeteria, gymnasium, classrooms, etc.)Light maintenance duties and security responsibilities throughout the buildingOther duties as assignedHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to work effectively with staff, students, and parentsKnowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting proceduresDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow directionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs., such as pushing equipment, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.Monday through Friday, 5 Hours/Day (6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), 25 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/Year. Occasional extra work hours are available during week and/or weekend.Paid time off, paid holidays, shoe allowance (prorated on hours worked), and excellent retirement benefits through the Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement Program.
