Custodian – Tift County School System (Tifton, GA)Location: Tifton, GA Employer: Tift County Schools (Multiple locations) Employment Partner: American Facility ServicesSalary Range $11.00 - $12.00 HourlyImportant Employment RequirementsMust pass a background check, including fingerprintingMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust provide valid documentation in compliance with E-Verify requirementsPosition OverviewTift County School System, in partnership with American Facility Services, is seeking dependable and hardworking Custodians to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors across our school campuses.Pay Rate$11 - $12/hr. Depending on ShiftAvailable ShiftsFull-time: 7am - 3:30pm, 10am - 6:30pm, 12pm - 8:30pm, 2pm - 10:30pmPart-Time: 7am - 11am, 2:30pm - 6:30pmKey ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areasPerform routine custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removalMaintain cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and sanitary school environmentAssist with event setup and breakdown as neededFollow all safety procedures, district policies, and supervisor instructionsSupports team goals through cooperation, dependability, and a strong work ethic.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periodsAbility to lift, carry, and move 25–50 poundsAbility to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfacesComfortable working in varying indoor conditions, including use of cleaning productsAdditional RequirementsMust have reliable transportation and consistent cellular service (Wi-Fi may not be available at all sites) - required for clocking in/outAbility to work assigned shift and locationStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a teamBenefits (Full-Time):Eligible to enroll in health benefits after 60 daysHoliday pay after 90 daysPTO after 1 yearWhy Join Us?Work within a respected local school system supporting student successStable employment through American Facility ServicesOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in your communityApply today to join our team and help maintain a clean and safe environment for Tift County Schools! #AFS25
