Job description
CustodianSalary Range $ School YearPrimary Objective:Under the supervision of the Lead Custodian, perform daily custodial care of the school facility and is responsible for cleaning, safety, and minor maintenance, including setting up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work requests.Essential Functions:Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and proceduresClean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebasket and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensersAssist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum, and shampoo carpetsUse and keep up assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, high-speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegee for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignmentsLock and unlock assigned buildings: secure buildings when facilities are not in useSubstitute in different custodial capacity may be requiredOther duties as assignedEducation: High school diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience: Experience in cleaning methods, materials, and equipment and setting priorities, and managing tasksBenefits: EligibleWork Calendar: 12 MonthsShift Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PMFLSA Status: Non-exemptWEBSTER GROVES SCHOOL DISTRICT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER & E-VERIFY PARTICIPANTWGSD District Code of Conduct
