If you're dependable, enjoy staying active, and take pride in your work, we'd love to meet you!Job SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Custodian to perform general cleaning and floor care in an educational facility in the Brentwood area. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors.ResponsibilitiesClean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and completing other assigned tasks as needed.Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.Work schedule:25 hours per week.Monday–Friday, 4:00pm-9:00pmOccasional evening and weekend work required to support special events throughout the year.RequirementsMust successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employmentAbility to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pullingReliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer serviceAble to work independently and as part of a teamBasic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accuratelyAbility to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environmentCompensation:$17.00 per hourAdditional Perks:Semiannual Custodian Incentive Bonus (up to an additional $0.50 per hour)Employee Referral Bonus Program$25 Birthday Gift CardOpportunities for advancement and career growthSupportive, family-oriented work environmentAbout SFMSFM has proudly served nonprofit organizations throughout Middle Tennessee since 1998.
