Job description
Housekeeping and Janitorial DutiesPerforms housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain assigned offices, restrooms, public areas and/or residence locations. Assist with general labor and minor repair tasks for University buildings and facilities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*:Cleans assigned buildings and locations including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, collecting trash and wiping waste and recycling receptaclesCleans and sanitizes restrooms, showers, and locker rooms and replenishes paper towels, and soap dispensersCollects, launders, and dries mop heads and cleaning rags and stores appropriatelyWaxes and refinishes floors, and shampoos carpets as assignedMaintains clean and operating equipmentInspects equipment and recommends the need for new parts, repairs, overhaul, or replacementRestocks supply closets and replenishes paper supplies in restrooms, etc.Completes work order requests timely during emergenciesReports building discrepancies and damages in timely mannerUses required safety and protective equipmentEducational Requirements None Required Experience On the job training providedPreferred Educational Qualifications An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field Preferred Experience Customer service experience Prior Cleaning experienceThe minimum hiring rate is $16.50.
