Custodian PositionWe are now accepting applications for custodians to join our custodial services team!The Williams College Facilities Department takes pride in operating and maintaining a safe, beautiful, and sustainable environment for living and learning at Williams. Williams is committed to enriching its educational experience and its culture through the diversity of its faculty, administration, and staff.This full-time (40 hours per week), year-round position in the Facilities Department is eligible for Williams College's comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.The consistent hours & schedule for custodian positions is Monday - Friday, 5:30 am – 2:00 pm. Schedules may change based on department needs. This position is eligible for premium pay, including overtime and applicable shift differentials, for work performed during holidays, weekends, emergency snow response, and other qualifying shifts.Responsibilities:General cleaning throughout designated areas on campusLight maintenance workSnow shoveling in the winterBed making in the summer conference seasonOther duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to work independently and as a member of a teamGood communication and customer service skillsExperience in general cleaning, maintenance, carpet and floor care is desirableBasic knowledge of computersAbility to comply with standing instructions provided by operating manuals, safety data sheets, safety rules and regulations for personal protection and safety regarding equipment and chemical usage.Ability to operate cleaning equipment and sanitizing dispensing units.Must have the ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance.Ability to utilize wearable equipmentPay ranges from $20.75 - $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.Application review will begin immediately.
